Since the most recent Timothy's Team update, several additional events have
been added to the Timothy's Law Campaign's action plan.

APRIL 11TH STATEWIDE PHONE-IN FOR TIMOTHY'S LAW:

Coming up tomorrow, April 11th, is a Statewide Phone-In for Timothy's Law.
The flyer for this event is attached to this e-mail and the text of that
flyer follows below.

Timothy's Law 2006

Tuesday, April 11

between 9:00 and 12 noon

On March 8th the New York State Assembly voted overwhelmingly to pass
Timothy's Law (A.2912-a Tonko).  Senate bill (S.6735-a Duane) has not been
brought to the floor for a vote.  The Senate and Assembly must work together
to enact a strong Timothy's Law before the end of the New York State
legislative session in June.

Call your Senator in Albany

Call 518-455-2800

and ask to be connected to your Senator's office

Tell your Senator:

"Timothy's Law (A.2912-a / S.6735-a) must be enacted NOW.    As a registered
voter in your district, I am deeply concerned that New Yorkers are still
without necessary mental health and substance abuse treatment.    I
respectfully request that you do whatever it takes to make Timothy's Law a
reality in 2006."

click on Senators. You can search by zip code, district number or
interactive map.

NEW TIMOTHY'S LAW EVENTS PLANNED IN LOCATIONS THROUGHOUT NEW YORK STATE:

As was discussed in the last Timothy's Team update, plans are in the works
to demonstrate to our elected officials the huge grassroots support
Timothy's Law enjoys in communities throughout New York State.  We are now
in the midst of an all-out grassroots mobilization which has now set dates
for events in several localities.

Timothy's Law supporters are urged to call their Senators in their district
offices.   Information will be posted on the website at
