NYAPRS Note: We're pulling out all the stops this year! Registrations are streaming in for our very timely program that will include over 80 workshops and special presentations (see details below), a healing fair featuring free massage, shiatsu and acupuncture, a cultural competence exhibition and special 'bash,' terrific entertainment, sumptuous meals and outdoor BBQ and numerous support and networking opportunities.
All of these will come at last year's prices that continue to include all lodging, program, event and meal costs!
Further, in response to the extraordinary times we live in and at the request of our Board, we're adding a special free Wednesday morning program (in development) that will feature presentations from providers and peers in other states that have experience with managed behavioral/health care systems. Stay tuned for details!
And this year's program will be preceded by a September 13 one day peer conference at the Hudson Valley Resort, "New Perspectives on Peer Services: Principles, Programs and Policy", sponsored by The Mental Health Association of the Southern Tier (MHAST) in association with the Mental Health Empowerment Project and NYAPRS. Program and meals will be free thanks to support from SAMHSA and OMH. We'll have final details out later today or Monday.
