NYAPRS Note: CALL TODAY! We need everyone to call the Legislature and Governor to let them know we must have an 8.5% COLA for the behavioral health workforce enacted in the final version the budget! See below for more information on who to call and what to say.

WE NEED YOUR HELP ONE LAST TIME!!

OVER 1,000 CALLS ARE NEEDED IN THE NEXT 24 HOURS.

MHANYS continues to advocate for the 8.5% COLA but we need to make more noise. So far, both the Assembly and the Senate have increased the proposed COLA to 8.5% in their one house budgets. Now they are negotiating with the Governor's office and we need to make sure the Governor, who proposed 2.5%, hears your voice and sticks with the 8.5%!

Next, we need them to specify Health Homes Serving Children and prevention programs as eligible programs in the budget language or we will not benefit from the COLA directly.

WE NEED TO KEEP UP THE MOMENTUM AND MAKE SOME NOISE!!

MHANYS is urging everyone to call TODAY or TOMORROW (March 21 & 22)

to the Governor and the Leaders of the Assembly & Senate.
