WEBINAR PRESENTERS:

Teena Brooks
, LMSW, is the Assistant Director of the Office of Consumer Affairs (OCA)- NYC Department of Health and Mental Hygiene. Previously Ms. Brooks worked for the Urban Justice Center and served on the Board of Directors of the New York Association of Psychiatric Rehabilitation Services (NYAPRS). She is also a lecturer and adjunct professor at Columbia University School of Social Work and a doctoral candidate at the Graduate Center of the City University of New York in the Social Welfare program.

Daniel B. Fisher

While researching brain chemistry, Dan was diagnosed with schizophrenia, recovered, is founder and CEO of the National Empowerment Center (NEC), a member of the New Freedom Commission on Mental Health, President of the National Coalition for Mental Health Recovery, developed Emotional CPR, and practices Open Dialogue psychiatry.

Kate Trombley
is a mother, daughter, educator, advocate, and survivor of generational trauma and suicide attempts. She has an M.A. in Adult Education, an M.S. in Executive Leadership and Change, and is currently completing her Ph.D. in Educational Culture, Policy, and Society. Kate is Director of the Adult Educational Opportunity Center (AEOC) at Genesee Community College. She has assisted underserved and hard-to-reach populations in obtaining their life goals, including mental health supports, independent living, education, and employment.

Anthony Fox
is the Chief Executive Officer of the Tennessee Mental Health Consumers' Association (TMHCA). Anthony founded, developed, and implemented one of the nation’s only all-consumer/survivor owned and operated Medicaid-Delivered Peer Specialist programs. Anthony currently serves as the Vice President of the National Coalition for Mental Health Recovery.
