NYAPRS Note: A key indicator of the success of New York's DSRIP program lies in how adept the program's regional provider networks (PPS) are in meeting state standards necessary to collect their 'achievement values.'

According to Crain's Health Pulse, "achievement values are a group of metrics used to grade the PPSs to determine their DSRIP payments. While the third-quarter report does not dictate payouts, it acts as a sort of progress report ahead of the full-year reports, which do affect awards, and are scheduled to be published July 6."

An assessment of how successful the PPSs are in meeting those standards was released this week (http://www.crainsnewyork.com/assets/pdf/CN104889419.PDF). The report found high rates of success in most areas, except 'patient engagement speed and scale,' where 6 out of the 25 PPSs turned in scores of less than 50%
