The Mental Health Parity and Addiction Equity Act has given society a tool for achieving President Kennedy’s promise of a day when a person’s mental disorder would no longer result in separate but unequal treatment. This panel will examine how that promise is playing out in the workplace, in our justice system, and among veterans returning from our nation’s recent conflicts. We’ll look at how parity can improve lives, reduce costs, and how America can achieve greater productivity.
