Tuesday, March 25, 1pm-2:30pm Eastern/10am-11:30 am Pacific

As integrated primary and behavioral healthcare programs increasingly incorporate peer support services, they learn new strategies to benefit from, and enhance the role of, peer providers in the workforce. Peer providers can provide many key roles in integrated health, including navigation, linkage to clinical and community resources, assist in activation of self-management, and provide ongoing social and emotional support.

Join us on March 25<http://echo4.bluehornet.com/ct/33876469:25734903853:m:1:2550377423:A53D37517B9AB56D5A8DA2ADF753E09D:r> to learn the key roles of behavioral health peer providers, strengths they bring to integrated health, and how to support agency implementation as a new workforce. Hear from a peer provider and her supervisor on their experience in an integrated health program sharing the strengths peer providers bring for system transformation and unlocking the potential to activate whole health self-management. Learn from a large provider agency that has trained more than 180 peer heath navigators about their skills, results from a pilot randomized controlled trial with outcomes showing significant health impact, and three stages for agency implementation of this new workforce.

Takeaways:

  * Strengths peer providers bring to integrated health programs for system transformation

  * Skills peer providers are trained to deliver
