NYAPRS Note: Each year, the NYAPRS Board of Directors recognizes individuals and organizations for their extraordinary contributions to advancing the recovery, rehabilitation, rights and community inclusion of people with psychiatric disabilities. Please send us your nominations by tomorrow July 26!

New York Association of Psychiatric Rehabilitation Services
is pleased to accept your Award Nominations

Please help us honor the very special achievements of recognized or emerging leaders in our joint efforts to
promote recovery, rehabilitation and rights, to be presented at our 31st Annual Conference in September.

Directions: Select the award category for your nomination. Complete the Nominee Information section and the Nominator Information section. Complete the Nomination Narrative by submitting a short narrative (1 page or less typed) that outlines the Nominee's contributions related to the proposed award category.

BRENDAN NUGENT LEADERSHIP AWARD.  The Brendan Nugent Leadership Award is presented to an inspiring consumer leader in promoting and advocating for the empowerment of people with psychiatric disabilities in New York State.

FRANCES Olivero ADVOCACY AWARD.  The Frances Olivero Advocacy Award is presented to an individual who has demonstrated inspiring community leadership and unique contributions in advocacy around a particular issue on behalf of New Yorkers with psychiatric disabilities.

LIFETIME ACHIEVEMENT AWARD.  The Lifetime Achievement Award is presented to an individual who has a long record of exemplary contributions to the recovery, rehabilitation and/or rights of New Yorkers with psychiatric disabilities.

MARTY SMITH MEMORIAL AWARD.  The Marty Smith Memorial Award is presented to a uniquely inspired and dedicated provider who has demonstrated exemplary contributions to the advancement of best practices in service to New Yorkers with psychiatric disabilities.

MURIEL SHEPHERD PARTNERS WITH FAMILIES AWARD.  The Muriel Shepherd Partners with Families Award is presented to an individual who has demonstrated inspiring leadership in the advancement of the alliance of families and consumers in promoting the recovery, rehabilitation and rights of people with psychiatric disabilities.

PUBLIC EDUCATION AWARD.  The Public Education  Award is presented to an individual inside or outside of the media who has demonstrated extraordinary public education efforts that advance the needs of and/or that highlight the accomplishments of New Yorkers with psychiatric disabilities.

PUBLIC POLICY LEADERSHIP AWARD.  The Public Policy Leadership Award is presented to a legislator who has demonstrated outstanding public leadership on behalf of New Yorkers with psychiatric disabilities.

FAITH & FELLOWSHIP AWARD.  The Jason Brody Award is presented to an individual who has been an extraordinary source of kindness, caring and devotion to people within their mental health community.

Quincy Boykin Memorial Award. The Quincy Boykin award is presented to a person in heartfelt recognition of your inspiring contributions to the recovery, empowerment, integration and inclusion of all New Yorkers with psychiatric disabilities
