NYAPRS Note: The following comes from Policy Research Associates' Deb
Dennis. The Disability Determination Process (DDP) Small Grant Program
is a one-year stipend program that will allow graduate-level students to
conduct supervised independent research on improving the efficiency and
reducing the complexity of disability determination processes.

 

 

Social Security Awards Research Stipends to Improve Disability
Determination Process*

 

WHAT: The Social Security Administration aims to improve disability
determination process through innovative research by graduate students
focusing on topics such as the Compassionate Allowances program, Wounded
Warriors initiative, homelessness and SSI, and disability enrollment
issues. 

DEADLINE: MAY 31, 2012

DURATION OF PROJECT: August 2012 - July 2013
