CALL YOUR MEMBER OF CONGRESS TODAY!
STOP CUTS TO SAMHSA

The U.S. House of Representatives is preparing to vote on H.R. 1-the
Continuing Resolution for FY 2011
<http://www.rules.house.gov/Media/file/PDF_112_1/legislativetext/2011cra
pprops/AppropCRFinal_xml.pdf> -which would mandate cuts in the fiscal
2011 discretionary budget. Among these cuts would be a significant
reduction in funding for the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services
Administration (SAMHSA).

It is well known that states have already been struggling to fund the
behavioral health services in the economic downturn, but deep cuts into
our federal behavioral healthcare budget will only make the situation
more devastating. Make your voice heard and call your Representative
today...tell them to vote NO on this Continuing Resolution.

DON'T WAIT...MAKE YOUR CALL TODAY!!!!

We need for you to take action. Make your voice heard loud and clear,
and call your Representative now to express your opposition to the
legislation. The House is expected to vote as early as this afternoon.
Don't wait a minute longer to voice your opposition.

Please contact your U.S. Representative <http://house.gov/> , or dial
202/224-3121 and the receptionist to transfer you to your
Representative. Tell your Representative to vote in opposition to the
2011 Continuing Resolution.

Any questions can be directed to Jane Porter, USPRA Director of Public
Relations and Government Affairs, at jporter at uspra.org.
