Description

As part of its ongoing effort to promote recovery and consumer choice,
SAMHSA hosted the second in a series of three Webinars designed to
introduce and explore the principles and practice of shared decision
making from various perspectives. The introductory Webinar, held on
November 12, 2009, provided an introduction to the concept of shared
decision making in mental health and a preview of SAMHSA's shared
decision making tools currently in development. The second Webinar, held
on January 21, 2010, featured four presenters and provided an overview
of consumer perspectives and experiences regarding shared decision
making. Archived copies of both Webinars, as well as accessible
versions of them, are now available on the SAMHSA shared decision making
website: http://mentalhealth.samhsa.gov/consumersurvivor/shared.asp.
