Train Any Time, Any Place for Treating COD and Earn Training Hours

Apply to participate in the Center for Practice Innovation's Distance
Learning Initiative

The Center for Practice InnovationsSM (CPI) - formerly named the
Evidence-Based Practices Technical Assistance Center - is pleased to
announce that we will begin accepting applications from interested
programs for the Co-occurring Disorders Distance Learning Initiative
spring rollout, beginning March 2010. Practitioners, supervisors and
clinical leadership can accumulate training hours when they participate
in this OASAS- and OMH-funded initiative.

CPI's free online modules are designed to help programs implement
integrated treatment for co-occurring disorders (COD). Developed for the
real-world environment, CPI's practical approach features concise,
half-hour online learning modules that allow practitioners to choose
when and where to take their training, which includes inspiring personal
recovery stories, clinical vignettes, interactive exercises, and expert
panel presentations to engage the learner.

This training helps practitioners gain a firm foundation in
evidence-based integrated treatment for COD including screening and
assessment, stage-wise treatment, motivational interviewing, and more.
Additional modules help clinical supervisors develop their supervision
skills and guide agency leaders through changes to ensure sustainability
of integrated treatment.

Along with the learning modules, CPI offers online implementation
supports through webinars, "Ask the Expert" forums, and discussion
threads.

The training is comprised of 35 individual modules. The first 10 are now
available online. Another 12 will be online July 2010, and the remaining
13 will be online December 2010.
