A Guide for Teachers and Trainers is now available with your purchase of
Principled Leadership in Mental Health Systems and Programs by William
A. Anthony and Kevin Ann Huckshorn. Created by R. Scott Graham and
commissioned by the National Association of State Mental Health Program
Directors, this Guide is particularly useful for teachers, trainers, or

Free Webinar on Helping Business Incorporate the 
Value of People with Disabilities into Their Bottom Line

The United States Business Leadership Network (USBLN) announces a free
webinar on Tuesday, September 1, 2009 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM Eastern

New Guide Reviews Research on Law Enforcement 
Responses to People with Mental Illnesses

The Council of State Governments Justice Center recently released The
Law Enforcement Response to People with Mental Illnesses: A Guide to
Research-Informed Policy and Practice.

enforcement interactions with people with mental illnesses and
translates the findings to help policymakers and practitioners develop

USPRA Announces Ethics Webinar

USPRA announces a webinar training entitled "Ethics in Daily Practice:
Understanding the Code of Ethics

CRC, CPRP, an independent trainer and consultant in psychiatric

Rehabilitation Services for Vinfen inCambridge, MA will conduct the
webinar which is designed to help you become more familiar with the
USPRA Code of Ethics. General ethical principles along with how these
principles can be used to resolve ethical issues arising in the course
of psychiatric rehabilitation service delivery will be discussed.  For

New Book of Recovery Stories and Images

Based on requests from the field, Boston University 's Center for
Psychiatric Rehabilitation has published a second book of personal
accounts of the process of recovery as experienced by individuals with
serious mental illnesses. Voices of Recovery consists of two different
types of "voices."  The first "voice" is in the form of articles on
recovery that were published in the Coping With column of the
Psychiatric Rehabilitation Journal from the years 2000 through 2008. The
second "voice" is a collection of Photovoice works, which includes a
photograph with short narrative explaining the consumer photographer's
point of view.

 

These inspirational contributions remind us that recovery is not only
