Local Mental Health Agency Partners With Lark St. Landmark For Afternoon
Of Art, Music And Charity

For Immediate Release April 24, 2009

4/26/09

ClearView Center, a community based non-for-profit mental health agency,
is partnering with Albany landmark Tess' Lark Tavern for a full
afternoon of music, art and fun. The event, held from 2:00 - 8:00 p.m.
on Sunday April 26, will raise money to benefit the many community
services ClearView Center provides.

In addition to the many local musical acts billed for the afternoon,
there will be art on display and for sale throughout the restaurant.
100% of the art was created by individuals with a mental health
diagnosis.

All of the proceeds and donations will directly benefit people and
families living with mental illness in the Capital Region.

ClearView Center has served the mentally ill population of Albany for
more than 60 years. The organization offers a wide variety of supports,
such as drug and alcohol treatment, an intensive outpatient clinic, job
training, education, family programs, community residences, social clubs
and day-treatment programs.

ClearView Center is taking this opportunity to connect the community
with mental health service providers to finally remove the stigma that
has been separating people affected by mental illness from the rest of
society.

"At ClearView Center, we truly believe that when a person with a mental
illness is given a supportive, encouraging environment, they have the
opportunity to grow, recover, and return to a healthy, happy and
productive life," said Dorothy Cucinelli, the agency's Executive
Director.
