Change.gov: Make Sure Mental Health and Addiction Issues Are Part of
Healthcare Reform

National Council For Community Behavioral Healthcare December 4, 2008

President-elect Obama is asking for input from individuals about
healthcare reform, and is using the internet to get some of that input.
His website even includes a word count of the 100 most commonly used
words in the discussion of healthcare.   Unfortunately, mental health
and addiction issues do not even make it into the top 100 words.  

It is important that mental health and addiction professionals, peers
and advocates, speak up about the issues that are important to our
community, in order to frame the debate about healthcare reform.
