CMS: More Time to Implement Case Mgt Regs

 

We have learned that the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services
(CMS) has informed the state that due to high volume of comments on
their interim final regulations on Targeted Case Management they will be
modifying their proposal, thereby delaying the time forward for final
implementation. More details to come.

 

Gov. Paterson Retains State Mental Hygiene Commissioners

 

When Gov. Paterson assumed his post he routinely requested the
resignation of all top staff and agency commissioners. We are happy to
report he has declined to accept the resignations of: Karen M.
Carpenter-Palumbo (OASAS), Diana Jones Ritter (OMRDD), and Michael Hogan
(OMH). We look forward to working with this inspired and visionary team.
