Essential Learning is excited to announce a partnership with Mary Ellen
Copeland, Ph.D., to make Wellness Recovery Action Plan (WRAP)(r) content
available as interactive, online courses. Continuing education credits
are available for these courses from ANCC, ASWB, NBCC and many state
specific accreditation bodies. 

 

 "WRAP One-on-One" is the first of many online WRAP(r) courses that will
be offered at www.mentalhealthrecovery.com. This three hour course
provides an overview of WRAP(r) and will help teach people how to
support and facilitate another person's effort in developing their
WRAP(r) Plan. This course is available to anyone at a cost of $30. 

 

What is Wellness Recovery Action Plan (WRAP)? 

WRAP(r) was developed in 1997 by a group of people who were working with
Mary Ellen Copeland, Ph.D., on skills and strategies to support their
own recovery and wellness. Through her own experience, Dr. Copeland has
helped people who have experienced mental health difficulties develop
day-to-day coping and wellness strategies, as well as attain long-term
stability and recovery. Today, WRAP(r) is recognized around the world as
an effective self-help strategy for people to achieve and maintain
recovery from mental illness. The WRAP(r) program is also becoming the
standard curriculum for many state and county mental health service
systems.
